Church Administrator

Location: Orange Beach, Alabama

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Position Type: Full-time

About Us: We are a vibrant and welcoming church community located in Orange Beach, Alabama, dedicated to serving our congregation and community with love, compassion, and purpose. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Church Administrator. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our church, overseeing facilities and grounds, finances, communications, web/social media/creative, office management, and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilities and Grounds Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of church facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and improvements as needed.
  • Develop and implement procedures for facility usage by internal and external groups
  • Financial Management:
  • Supervise the church's finances, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Oversee financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Communications:
  • Oversee all internal and external communications, including newsletters, bulletins, and announcements.
  • Maintain regular communication with congregation members, staff, and community partners.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote church events and initiatives.
  • Web/Social Media/Creative:
  • Oversee the church's overall online presence (website, social, etc)
  • Supervise the creation of content (graphic, videos, etc) to share the church's message and activities.
  • Monitor and respond to online inquiries and feedback.
  • Office Management:
  • Supervise administrative staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure efficient operation of the church office, including scheduling, record-keeping, and clerical tasks.
  • Procure office supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Technology:
  • Oversee the church's technology infrastructure, including computers, software, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Provide technical support to staff and volunteers.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, finance, communications, and technology.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Google suite, website management platforms, and social media.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the church.
